CVAT (Computer Vision Annotation Tool) is a modern, open-source annotation platform designed to help teams efficiently label images and videos for machine learning and AI projects. Yobitel’s Pre-built CVAT solution comes fully configured with essential workflows, storage integrations, and an automation tool, allowing organisations to start annotating data immediately without complex setup. Pre-configured for rapid deployment with automated workflows and cloud storage integration, export high-quality datasets in YOLO and COCO format.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Format Dataset Support: Export annotations in widely used formats such as YOLO, COCO, Pascal VOC, and more, ensuring seamless compatibility.

  • Model-Training Ready Datasets: All exported datasets can be directly used to train state-of-the-art models, including YOLOv5–YOLOv11, recent YOLO versions.

  • OpenCV-Powered Annotation Tools: Integrated OpenCV-based annotation utilities within the platform allow efficient annotation and manipulation of labels for improved accuracy and workflow speed.

  • Pre-Configured CVAT Environment: Delivered as a ready-to-use annotation environment optimised for deployments, minimising setup time and configuration effort.

  • Rich Annotation Support: Offers a wide range of annotation types, including bounding boxes, polygons, segmentation, keypoints, and object tracking for complex video datasets.

  • Customizable & Extensible: Open-source base allows plugin integrations and workflow customisation.

Technical Usage Manual:

  1. Once you subscribe to the AMI for CVAT from the AWS Marketplace, choose the launch through EC2 and launch.

  1. It redirects to the launch instance page, configures the required details, i.e., Name, Instance type, Keypair, Network Setting, Storage, and launches the Instance.

    ree
  2. Choose the Instance type as per your requirements.

    ree
  3. When the instance is successfully created, go to the EC2 Dashboard in the AWS Console, select your created instance, and copy the public IP of the instance.

    ree
  4. Use the obtained public IP address from the created instance (Ex: 38.84.57.81)

  5. Open a web browser. Navigate to: (https://<EC2_PUBLIC_IP>:8080). Replace your instance's public IP in  (<EC2_PUBLIC_IP>).

  6. The page will open, but it shows " Cannot connect to the server because it takes some time to launch the server. Just click ok and refresh the page.
